About L.O.T.S. Events: We Learn On The Site how to flip houses in Louisville

Want an up-close look at how other real estate investors go about rehabbing a house? Come join us at L.O.T.S. events.

Each month an active rehabber in the KREIA community acts as host and invites other members to an “open house” of his or her latest rehab project. The house can be at any stage: demo, middle of rehab, or finished product.

Do you watch house-flipping shows on TV? Attending a L.O.T.S. event is better, because it’s live, local — and unscripted! You'll learn a lot at L.O.T.S.!

Here’s why you’ll love L.O.T.S.:

• Hosts are transparent with their numbers — they tape up printouts showing their acquisition and rehab costs, along with estimates of what they want to sell for and how much they hope to profit.
• Hosts share information about the materials they chose and the processes they used. They might even tell you who their contractors are.
• Hosts answer all your questions. They’re a captive audience! They can’t leave!
• You see firsthand what’s working for other rehabbers in the Louisville area. You can inspect the cabinets, windows, flooring and mechanicals to your heart’s content.

When do L.O.T.S. events happen? The Tuesday following the main meeting, starting at noon. (There are no L.O.T.S. events following the November meeting.)

Are you a KREIA member who has a house you’d like to volunteer for a L.O.T.S. event? Call longtime board member George Foree (502-541-1811) or catch up with him at main meetings. Please note that the house must having running water, a working toilet, and heat in winter time.
