Government Affairs
As an active investor, please pay special attention to whatever news you hear from the Government Affairs Committee: Its members will have information you need to act on, whether it's new requirements coming down from local government for investors (such as Louisville's Rental Registry and the recent change in protected classes) or a call for your presence at upcoming council or zoning meetings.
You'll usually find out about these developments when we invite KREIA Parliamentarian Michelle Rawn to the microphone at main meetings. KREIA leadership will also address the room with news you need to know. Watch for KREIA emails going out, and be sure to network with KREIA co-founder Rue McFarland and board member George Foree while you're attending KREIA main meetings. Both Rue and George make it a point to stay plugged into local government affairs where real estate is concerned.
